CBD And What You Need To Know
I don’t know if you have noticed, but there seems to be a lot of CBD stores and products that have popped up almost everywhere. CBD this, CBD that, CBD who knows? All I know is that it can be confusing.
I’m sure you have heard many stories, some of them seemingly miraculous, about how CBD helped someone or so-and-so used this brand and they are now feeling better. So if that kind worked for them then it should work for you.
I, myself, have been trying multiple different brands/kinds of CBD for over 2 years to see if one brand is better than another. I have walked into many different stores and it seems to me (or at least it felt like) that all they wanted to do was sell me something. I wish there was a one-size-fits-all when it comes to CBD but it doesn’t work that way.
Although I am not an expert by any means, here are some things that I have learned:
- First of all CBD doesn’t cure anything. What it does is help your body get back into homeostasis. When you are in homeostasis, then your body is in balance…all of your different systems are working well and you are healthy. To help understand this process, I found this YouTube video that explains the process a whole lot better than I can. It’s about 18 minutes long, but it does a fantastic job of explaining everything.
- Price–This is something that you DO want to spend some money on. Don’t go cheap with this, because you will be ingesting this either through adding to some water or just putting some drops on your tongue. Price point for a good quality CBD oil will be anywhere from $75-$125. Believe me, it is worth spending some money.
- Less Ingredients Is Better–Don’t be fooled by something like “the bigger, the better”. Having lots of different ingredients with your CBD just means that there isn’t that much CBD in it. There are a lot of CBD oils that have a ton of ingredients (which really surprised me). Think of all of these ingredients like fillers…no one wants those.
-
Dosage–This is where it got really confusing for me. Any time I tried a different kind, I would ask how much I should take. No one really could give me a straight answer. However, what I have learned and researched is, again, it isn’t a one-size-fits-all scenario. What works for one person may not work for another person. Our bodies are so different and we have different things going on inside our bodies that it will take some trial and error to figure out what dosage works best for you. So here is the general guideline…start low and slow. This may mean, try 1/4 of a dropper and see how you feel. If after a couple of days, you haven’t noticed any significant difference then maybe bump it up to 1/2 dropper. Follow this process until your desired results are reached. Some people can get by with 1/4 dropper, others may need 2 droppers or more. Again, everyone is different so this will take some trial and error to figure this out and it may take some time. Some people can get immediate results when they start CBD and others may take some time. Be patient with this part!
- CBD Doesn’t Get You High–There are some CBD oils out there that have a very minuscule amount of THC (which is the ingredient in marijuana). The State of Indiana allows less than .3 percent of THC in CBD oil. However, there are a lot of CBD oils that do not have any THC in them at all. So make sure that you check the ingredients again to see whether there is any THC in that CBD or not.
- Medication Interactions–Although CBD is good for you, you may be on a medication that doesn’t go well with CBD. Click here to see if there are some medication interactions with CBD.
- Full Absorption–In order to get the best absorption of your CBD oil, I suggest that you take your CBD at least 1 hour before your other medications or 2 hours after.
- Topical CBD–If you don’t want to ingest any CBD, there are lots of different products that are infused with CBD. I do have some products available for purchase in my office, so please let me know if you are interested.
- Third Party Testing–Make sure what ever brand you chose to purchase has been tested by a Third Party.
- What Brand Is Best?–I have tried probably 5 or 6 different brands of CBD and the brand that has worked best for me is called Recept, by Prime My Body. Although I don’t have any available for purchase in my office right now, you can order through my affiliate page at https://katburgoa.primemybody.com/.
I hope this email has helped end some of the confusion there is about CBD. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best about answering them.
